China SAMR Seeks Public Comments on National Food Safety Emergency Plan
On December 2, 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation initiated the revision of the "National Food Safety Incident Emergency Response Plan (Draft for Comments)" and is now publicly soliciting opinions. The deadline for feedback is January 2, 2026. According to the plan, food safety incidents are classified into four levels based on factors such as the nature of the incident, degree of harm, scope of impact, and development trends: particularly significant, major, relatively major, and general.
